The Friendship Club meets on Tuesday afternoons from 2pm till 4pm from autumn as an occasion for senior citizens to meet for recreation and a cup of tea. Though it meets in the Church Hall it is not a Church organisation or confined to its members. All will be made welcome.
The Open Group In 1980 This Group evolved from the disbanded Young Wives Group whose low numbers could not sustain a committee. A healthy number of Villagers were interested in forming a new group, and at a meeting the name ‘Open Group’ was chosen as an indication of the welcome to all comers. They decided there would be no committee as such, apart from a treasurer, and all members would be involved in making decisions.
The group has continued now for 30 years and iy meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month, in the Church Hall, at 7.30 p.m. The programme for the year usually includes talks, a theatre visit, a fundraiser and an outside visit. Everyone is most Welcome to join. Details of each month’s meeting will be posted on the ‘Strathkinness Community’ Facebook page.

Whist Drives are held monthly during the winter months. The dates are given in the Kirk & Community newsletter and in a notice posted outside the hall.
