Whist Drives

are held monthly during the winter months. The dates are given in the Kirk & Community newsletter and in a notice posted outside the hall.

The classes should now be under the heading of -

'J.K.D.A '  (Jenny King's Academy of Dance.)

Classes are held in both the Village Hall and the Church Hall

Details and further information can be had by contacting JEMMA KING

Jemma is still keeping her mother's name in her memory, and as it has always been known as this. Although she now lives and works in London - she runs the Academy from there with the help of a dance teacher who takes the classes here.

As of February 2017 a new Beaver Scout Colony opened in the village.

Beavers is the first and youngest section of the Scout Movement and open to boys and girls aged between 6 and 8 years old.

Beavers enjoy all that Scouting has to offer; being introduced to outdoor activities, having the opportunity to be creative, explore their local community and experience the excitement of a Beaver Scout Sleepover with their friends.

Run by Leaders from the village, Strathkinness Beavers meet on Wednesday nights in the Village Hall between 6-7pm.  As part of the 8th Fife Scout Group,  Beavers can "swim up" to Cubs and then Scouts in St Andrews at the appropriate age.

For more information please contact Ross Mackenzie (ross_mackenzie1@sky.com) or  Lorraine Thomson (lkthomson@live.co.uk) in the first instance.
