Development affecting Strathkinness

Headon Developments obtained planning permission to build 30 houses including 8 affordable ones in December 2007.

A copy of the site plan can be seen by clicking here.

The development has been completed in the Summer of 2016.

 Avant Homes

Avant Homes have made a planning application to build 76 homes on the landfill site on the High Road adjacent to Bonfield Playing Field. (See Planning Application 15/04130/PPP).

The Site Plan submitted can be seen here.

This massive proposal raises many issues to which reference is made in the

Community Council Minutes of 16th January 2016

At the North East Fife Planning Committee Meeting on 8th June 2016 it was decided that the Application could only go ahead if the number of houses was reduced from 76 to 66. See the report in The Courier.

At a meeting held on 1st July 2016 Fife Council gave their approval to the development to go ahead on the basis of 66 homes. See The Courier.on this.

In April 2018 Avant Homes dropped their proposal to build on the Bonfield site.

Fife Council are in discussion with a prospective alternative developer for the project.
